Eligibility

Sex/Gender
Male

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged between 18 to 55 years; 2. The duration not less than six months; 3. leg pain radiating below the knee; 4. the VAS score (0-10) of pain intensity no less than 4; 5. a diagnosis of lumbar spine pathology based on image examination.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. experiencing other pain; 2. suffering from psychiatric or neurological disorders; 3. intake medications within the last week; 4. any contraindications for exposure to a high magnetic field or receiving acupuncture; 5. consumed coffee or alcohol within 10 hours preceding the scan.
