18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) histological proofs of esophageal neoplasms and fitting enough to undergo the modified McKeown procedure (thoracoscopic esophageal mobilization three-incision esophagectomy); 2) Aged 18 and 75 years old, and expected survival duration > 12 months; 3) with normal preoperative gastrointestinal function; 4) Karnofsky Performance Scores (KPS) >=90; 5) being able to continuously walk 6 minutes or longer; 6) using WeChat in person or by family members; 7) being cognitively capable to understand the study and provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) have esophageal carcinoma metastasized elsewhere in the body; 2) unable to engage in physical activities due to medical reasons; 3) with HIV seropositive; 4) in pregnancy or lactation; 5) unable to finish the questionnaire due to mental or other illnesses or other reasons; 6) not R0 resection; 7) accompany other serious medical, psychiatric, or cognitive illness that would interfere with participation.
