Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Based upon the updated NCEP-ATPIII for Asian Americans, Mets inclusion criteria as presenting 3 or more of the following components: 1) waist cirumference =90 cm for men or =80 cm for women; 2) triglycerides =1.7 mmol/l; 3) HDL cholesterol <1.03 mmol/l for men or <1.30 mmol/l for women; 4) blood pressure =130/85 mmHg or current use of anti-hypertensive medications; 5) fasting glucose =5.6 mmol/l or previously diagnosed type 2 diabetes or on oral antidiabetic agents or insulin.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for all groups: 1. age > 35 years, body mass index (BMI) <25 kg/m2, PCOS combined with other causes of infertility, known cardiovascular disease, thyroid disease, smoking, diabetes, hypertension. Exclude patients with obvious signs and symptoms of liver and kidney disease, or with a history of drug abuse and alcohol abuse over the past 2 years, or with a history of mental illness, or with infection, trauma, surgery and other emergency situation, or with M value more than 6.32mg/kg/min in the first hyperinsulin euglycemic. Also exclude patients who could not take effective contraceptive measures through the study, or applied with metformin or other euglycemic agent one month before the inclusion or receiving steroid therapy or treatment of malignant tumor.
