Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ICR malocclusion: (1) malocclusion deformity (ANB > 4 degree) (Dolphin 11.7, Chatsworth, Calif, USA); (2) MRI examination showed anterior disc displacement, condyle resorption, and the mandibular condyle showed black signal (Sgina 1.5t, GE, USA); (3) CBCT examination showed condyle absorption (Kodak, 9000C 3D, Eastman Kodak Company, USA); (4) slight crowding of the anterior teeth (0-5mm). Non-ICR malocclusion: (1) malocclusion deformity (ANB > 4 °) (Dolphin 11.7, Chatsworth, Calif, USA); (2) MRI examination showed no obvious condylar absorption and no black signal image (Sgina 1.5t, GE, USA); (3) CBCT showed no obvious absorption (Kodak, 9000C 3D, Eastman Kodak Company, USA); (4) slight crowding of anterior teeth (0-5mm).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. injury or operation history of anterior region; 2. morphologic tooth anomalies or restoration of lower anterior tooth; 3. active periodontal disease; 4. congenital Cranial and maxillofacial anomalies; 5. previous orthodontic or orthognathic treatment; 6. systemic diseases.
