18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients=18 years old; 2. Preoperative core temperature between 35.0 and 37.5 degree C; 3. The duration of anesthesia=30 min; 4. One of the following elective major surgeries: non-cardiac surgery, non-emergency surgery, nonobstetric surgery, non-vascular surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. One of the following elective major surgeries: cardiac surgery, emergency surgery, obstetric surgery, vascular surgery; 2. Hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism; 3. High central fever caused by cerebrovascular disease, cerebral trauma, cerebral operations, epilepsy, or acute hydrocephalus,or other special circumstance (malignant hyperthermia); 4. Raynaud disease or sweat gland dysfunction; 5. Active diseases of external auditory canal.
