Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Type 2 diabetes mellitus, defined as stage I-III diabetic retinopathy by fundus photography or fundus angiography, aged 18-70 years male and female; (2) Blood glucose <16.7mmol/L, blood pressure =150/90mmHg, BMI<30kg/m2; (3) Written informed consent has been signed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with retinal vein obstruction, uveitis, senile macular lesions, hypertension retinopathy and other diseases that may cause macular edema; patients with obvious cataract affecting vision detection; and those with glaucoma affecting mydriasis test. (This criterion is not applicable for the above diseases with only one eye but not the other.); (2) With acute complications of diabetes (such as diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic non-ketotic hyperosmolar syndrome, etc.), serious chronic complications (such as diabetic nephropathy with nephrotic syndrome, severe diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic lower limb artery occlusion, etc.); (3) Patients with serious primary systemic diseases such as respiratory, circulatory, digestive, urinary, nervous, blood, rheumatism, endocrine system diseases and tumors, AIDS, etc.; (4) Patients with allergic constitution or those who are known to be allergic or intolerant to the drug used in this study. (5) Patients with pregnancy, lactation, mental disorders or other situations that may lead to decreased compliance. (6) Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation is the syndrome of deficiency and cold.
