1 Years to 7 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged 1 to 6 years, who were scheduled to undergo ambulatory inguinal hernia repair. ASA I, II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. With a history of neurological, neuromuscular, or psychiatric disorders or allergies to local anesthetic drugs or those who are with a known allergy or hypersensitive reaction to either dexmedetomidine, any nasal pathology, organ dysfunction, cardiac arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, or hemodynamic or respiratory instability; 2. children at risk for airway obstruction (obstructive sleep apnea or a craniofacial syndrome) or who had neurodevelopmental delay, cardiopulmonary disease, or any treatment with sedatives or anticonvulsants; 3. with psychiatric disorders or allergies to local anesthetic drugs.
