Control group:Four monthly telephone instructions

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The principal caregiver who is the family caregiver of relatives with diagnosed dementia according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. caregivers who were below 18 years of age; 2. family caregivers who did not involved in major health care, decision-making and care of relatives with dementia; 3. caregiver who currently were suffering from sever mental disorders and/or physical disorders that was expected to be unable to complete the trial and/or to undertake care as the principle caregiver; or 4. caregiver who simultaneously provided major care for another family member with a chronic medical condition or for a grandchild.
