uninterrupted sitting:Participants sat in a chair throughout the 9-h period, allowed to void when they needed to
walking bouts for 8 min every 70 min:sitting time was interrupted with 8-min bouts of walking every 70 min
walking bouts for 5 min every 50 min:sitting time was interrupted with 5-min bouts of walking every 50 min
walking bouts for 5 min every 50 min:sitting time was interrupted with 3-min bouts of walking every 30 min

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible participants were 20-35y of age, nonsmoking, not pregnant, non-obese (BMI<28kg/m2), and were required to be inactive (i.e., currently sedentary behavior=8h/d and not meeting physical activity guideline of=150min/wk of moderate- or=75min/wk of vigorous-intensity exercise at least 3 months), but were other healthy (free of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or any other chronic health condition that prevented in physical activity or that affected lipid or carbohydrate metabolism).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The change of body weight more than 2kg within 3 months; a fasting blood glucose concentration >6.1mmol/L; fasting triglyceride concentration >2.5mmol/L; fasting total cholesterol concentration >6mmol/L; systolic blood press >140mmHg; or diastolic blood pressure> 90mmHg; took any medication or nourishment that affect glucose and lipid metabolism and knew physical activity contraindications.
