55 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged = 55 years old, right handedness; 2. Comply with DSM-IV diagnostic criteria of "Main Depression Disorder", at least one depressive episode after 55 years old; 3. The current HDRS-17 item is =17 points; 4. Agree to maintain the existing drug treatment regimen during the study period; 5. Concomitant diseases prior to baseline must remain clinically stable; 6. The participant or legal guardian agrees to participate in the study and sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Comply with any other diagnostic criteria of DSM-IV axis I; 2. Hypothyroidism, vitamin B12 or folate deficiency, syphilis infection, stroke; 3. History of brain organic disease, history of traumatic brain or surgery; 4. Major physical illnesses that cannot tolerate this study; 5. Received MECT treatment within three months; 6. Have a history of seizures; 7. There are contraindications for MRI examinations; 8. There are contraindications to the treatment of rTMS.
