Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were as follows: capable of walking independently or with aids before injury, diagnosis of undisplaced femoral neck fracture, treatment with multiple cannulated screws, older than 65 years of age, and a follow-up period of at least 12 months. Furthermore, patients were required to have undergone a BMD (T-score) evaluation of the contralateral hip within 2 weeks after surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria included damage to important nerves and blood vessels, open fracture and multiple fractures, soft tissue infection at the operating site, fracture associated with the brain or spinal cord, or other visceral injury, pain in the hip before injure.
