18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elective laparoscopic colorectal surgery with an expected operative duration >= 2 hours; age between 18 and 65 years; ASA I-III; agree to participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant or lactating women; inability to read, understand or communicate; previous history of esophageal or abdominal surgery; preoperative diagnosis of gastrointestinal obstruction; long-term exposure of opioids, NSAIDs or steroids; intraoperative mean BIS out of target range; stoma formation or conversion to laparotomy; combined organ resection during the operation; occurrence of severe perioperative complications; indwelling intragastric catheter intraoperatively according to decision from the surgeon
