Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 65 to 80 years old; 2. Diagnostic criteria for hypertension: When untreated with antihypertensive drugs and systolic blood pressure=140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure=90mm Hg from three measurements on the same day, a patient can be diagnosed with hypertension is diagnosed. A patient with a history of hypertension and currently takes anti-hypertensive drugs is diagnosed with hypertension whether or not SBP/DBP<140/90mmHg; 3. Patients who have been receiving the oral treatment of triple anti-hypertensive drugs, specifically, ARB, CCB and diuretic; 4. Prior to the trial, dynamic blood pressure examination reveals at least one abnormality of the following: uncontrolled 24-hour average systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure, early morning hypertension, abnormal blood pressure circadian rhythm and abnormal blood pressure variability; 5. The guiding principles of the syndrome differentiation in TCM are met; 6. Signed informed consent forms are obtained.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with secondary hypertension or malignant hypertension; 2. Patients diagnosed with severe cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, severe respiratory diseases, severe liver damages, severe kidney damages or malignant tumors; 3. Patients with infectious diseases such as hepatitis, tuberculosis or AIDS; 4. Patients who are unwilling to join the research.
