Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Aged 18 to 70 years; health examiner; abominal pain or distension; IBD; chronic diarrhea; gastrointestinal bleeding; suspicious small-bowel masses; or others such as elevated serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) or carbohydrate-associated antigen (CA199), anemia, or emaciation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Lack of important information; or with contraindications to video CE. The latter included any of the following: intestinal obstruction; swallowing difficulties; impaired bowel movement; known obstructing tumor of the gastrointestinal tract; poor general condition; or pregnancy or suspected pregnancy. Patients with cardiac pacemakers or another type of implanted electromechanical device as well as patients who were scheduled for an MRI and those who had participated in another research study within 30 days also were excluded.
