Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Case group: Padiatric OSAHS confirmed by standard polysomnography (PSG) (AHI>5 times/hour); Control group: children who underwent general anesthesia in the hospital (congenital diseases such as mouth cyst, cleft palate and preauricular fistula without infection) 2. aged 4 to 12 years old; 3. no obvious dietary preferences; 4. agree to participate in the study; 5. Parents of children can answer the questionaire.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Special diet: gluten-free, casein diet, or special carbohydrate diet; 2. systemic disease (i.e., pulmonary, hepatic, renal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, or neurological disease), oral disease (i.e., dental caries or periodontal disease), any treatment for adenoid hypertrophy (i.e., tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, corticosteroids, or leukotriene antagonists); 3. genetic/craniofacial syndromes, parents with obvious snoring or diagnosed OSA, receipt of any medicationsantibiotics or drugs used to regulate intestinal flora (i.e., prebiotics, synbiotics, or probiotics]during the previous month, and any active infections (i.e., bacteria, fungi, or viruses). Subjects who had pets at home (a known source of bacteria) were also excluded.
