Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Since 2011, treated in the Department of Orthopaedics in the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. diagnosed with acute hematogenous osteomyelitis according to MRI or pathogenicity examination. Age =18 years old. The platelet count test results at admission.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age older than 18 years, patients without specific diagnosis, autoimmune disease, liver cirrhosis or failure, chronic renal failure with dialysis, history of chemotherapy, anticoagulation therapy in recent 4 weeks, and blood transfusion during the preceding 4 weeks
