Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children and adolescents with diagnosis of tic disorders, who were under 16 years old, and on their first visit for tic treatment or never received regular medications for tics before the trial, were eligible to participate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with current diagnosis of substance abuse or substance dependence, lifetime diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder or psychotic disorder, or previous regular treatment for tics were excluded.
