18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 - 75 years old; 2. There is no gender limit; 3. Patients were included in the study if they had ARDS according to the BoLin definitions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or lactating women; 2. Patients with unstable hemodynamics are expected to die 24 h; 3. Bronchopleural fistula, esophageal obstruction, esophageal perforation, severe esophageal variceal bleeding, and upper digestive tract surgery; 4. Thoracic deformity and diaphragmatic hernia; 5. Untreated pneumothorax, large amount of pleural effusion; 6. Severe heart, liver, kidney and other organ failure; 7. Other patients who are not suitable for placement of esophageal balloon catheter.
