Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Voluntary participation in this study of SHPT patients aged between 18 and 75 years. Selection criteria (according to the consensus of experts in clinical practice of hyperparathyroidism secondary to chronic renal failure): 1. Clinical manifestations: Severe symptoms such as bone pain, osteoporosis, myalgia, and itching of the skin affect the quality of life, severe anemia, and persistent resistance to erythropoietin; 2. Patients who meet the SHPT diagnosis are resistant to calcium sensitive receptor agonists, vitamin D and other similar substances, and medical treatment is ineffective for hypercalcemia(serum calcium > 4 mmol/L) or hyperphosphemia(serum phosphorus > 1.94 mmol/L); 3. iPTH >800pg/ml; 4. SHPT exists at least one or more parathyroid glands at ultrasound graph and a diameter of > 1cm with abundant blood flow.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe bone deformities and osteoporosis; 2. Combined with serious cardiopulmonary brain dysfunction and other systemic diseases; 3. Severe coagulation dysfunction; 4. Ultrasound or nuclide scans suggest heterotopic parathyroid glands after sternum.
