Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria of diabetes mellitus in 1999 (fasting blood glucose (= 7.1 mmol/L) or 2H blood glucose (= 11.1 mmol/L), or HBA1C (= 6.5%), and related antibodies are negtive), or patients definitely diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus before enrollment, orally taking or not taking western antidiabetic drugs; 2. Those who conform to the syndrome differentiation criteria of spleen deficiency and phlegm-dampness (main symptoms: dizziness, chest tightness, abdominal distention, food intolerance, stool sticky or thin, pale or fat tongue with dental marks, fur white greasy or yellow greasy, pulse slippery or moistening) (tongue and pulse are necessary, except tongue and pulse conform to two main symptoms), the dialectical typing is carried out by two clinicians. Only those patient who been identified as same 'zhen' could be included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Uncooperatives; serious heart, liver, kidney, brain and other complications, or other serious consumptive diseases, mental disorders; combined with other diseases affecting glucose and lipid metabolism such as hyperthyroidism, adrenal tumors; in the recent month, diabetic ketoacidosis, ketoacidosis and infection; in the past three months, orally took antibiotics; Pregnant women.
