Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) aged 40-80 years old; (2) by medical history, physical examination, chest X-ray or CT scan, pulmonary function tests to confirm the diagnosis, in line with "chronic obstructive pulmonary disease diagnosis and treatment guidelines in 2011 Chinese Medical Association Respiratory Diseases will be developed severe diagnostic criteria "in COPD patients :( FEV1 / FVC <70%, FEV1 <50% predicted values); (3) stabilization: no admission within the past month, drug treatment strategies no change; (4) difficulty in breathing as the main symptoms limit daily activities.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) X-ray or chest CT examination revealed bullae; (2) Upper airway or maxillofacial injury, postoperative, deformity, can not be used with NIV or mask discomfort; (3) at rest: inhaled oxygen concentration = 0.50, but oxygen saturation SpO2 160 mm Hg or diastolic blood pressure > 100 mm Hg at rest; unstable angina or myocardial infarction in the past 1 month; (5) sinus tachycardia at rest Speed (> 120 beats / min); (6) skeletal muscle or nervous system dysfunction affecting motor function; (7) other respiratory diseases; (5) disagree with the patients participating in the study.
