Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The diagnosis of pheochromocytoma was confirmed by pathological examinations. All unilateral adrenalectomy undergone by transperitoneal laparoscopy or open approaches were included. The clinical stage was localized disease. The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) scores were 1–4 [6]. The tumor size was = 6 cm based on computer tomography.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who underwent bilateral adrenalectomy or ectopic pheochromocytoma were excluded.
