18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) mild to moderate active ulcerative proctitis; 2) TCM syndrome of dampness and heat in colon; 3) age between 18 and 70 years; 4) signing informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) severe active ulerative colitis; 2) ulcerative colitis affecting the colonic segments except for rectum; 3) suspecting colonic or rectal cancer; 4) recieving medications treating ulcerative colitis (SASP, immunosuppressant, glucocorticoid,etc) within 1 month.
