Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient with depression: 1. aged = 60 years; 2. meeting the diagnostic criteria of first-episode or recurrent depressive disorder according to DSM-IV or ICD-10; 3. visual acuity or corrected visual acuity is generally normal; 4. no significant physical activity restriction; 5. can understand the instructors to sign informed consent and cooperate with treatment. The healthy control: 1. aged = 60 years; 2. no family history of neurological or mental illness; 3. visual acuity or corrected visual acuity is generally normal; 4. no significant physical activity restriction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient with depression: 1. suicidal tendencies; 2. current or previous diagnosis of dementia and schizophrenia; 3. severe somatic disease; 4. current treatment with tricyclic antidepressants; 5. receive other psychological treatment at the same time; 6. any contraindication to fMRI such as having a pace maker or implanted metal. Healthy control: 1. neurological and mental diseases such as depression disorder, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, substance dependence, dementia, Parkinson's disease; 2. serious somatic disease; 3. any contraindication to fMRI.
