Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patient aged =18 years; 2. patients with proximal humeral fractures treated with locking plate in our medical center; 3. X-ray and CT scan were done before surgery and X-ray was done on the first day after surgery, all data were completed; 4. at least one calcar screw was inserted; 5. patient demographic data and medical history data were completed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. multiple fractures on the same up limb; 2. fractures extend to humeral shafts; 3. isolated greater tuberosity fractures, open fractures and pathological fractures.
