Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) patients with thyroid benign tumor were identified before surgery; (2) sign a written consent to know the circumstances; (3) normal cardiopulmonary function; (4) aged from 18 to 65 years; (5) ASA I-II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) asthma; (2) chronic cough; (3) I had an upper respiratory infection two weeks ago; (4) taking angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, bronchodilators or steroids; (5) sinus bradycardia and atrioventricular block; (6) hepatic and renal insufficiency; (7) local anaesthesia allergy.
