Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) criteria, Association Internationale pour la Recherche et l'Enseignement en Neurosciences (NINDS-AIREN) criteria, guidelines for the treatment of senile dementia by traditional Chinese medicine, issued by the Ministry of Health(2002).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion the following disease, including sencephalitis, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, trauma, or other diseases cause of dementia and severe liver and kidney system disease.
