Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Be willingness to be scheduled for elective unilateral primary TKA, age of 18 to 90 years, body mass index of 18 to 40 kg/m2, and American Society of Anesthesiologists class of 1 to 3.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were chronic opioid use (defined as daily or almost daily use of opioids for >3 months), alcohol or drug abuse, hypersensitivity or allergies or contraindicate to any of the study medications, preexisting neuropathy or trauma/surgical history of the operative limb, diabetes mellitus combined with peripheral neuropathy, and a desire for spinal-epidural anesthesia. Patients who, for various reasons, could not follow the study protocol during the study period will be excluded.
