Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with coexisting visually significant cataract and diabetic macular edema

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: proliferative diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, pathological myopia, and other eye diseases may affect corrected vision. This study also excludes the patients which are not satisfied with glycemic and blood pressure control.
