Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged =18 years old; (2) patients with ocular or nasal allergy, or with allergic rhinoconjunctivitis; (3) Ocular manifestations include: redness, itching, chemosis, and conjunctival hyperplasia; nasal manifestations include: itching, obstruction, watery discharge, mucosa swelling; patients with only ocular or nasal manifestations or with both all fall in the scope; (4) serum test results show positivity to at least one detectable allergen; (5) healthy controls should have no ocular or nasal allergy and serum test results show negative to all detectable allergens.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Individuals with any chronic and acute nasal and ocular diseases; (2) patients with other allergic medical conditions, especially asthma and other upper airway allergic diseases; (3) subjects with nasal septal deviation or rhinostenosis; (4) those who have used anti-allergic medications or topical or systemic steroids within 1 month to enrollment; (5) patients with poor general condition, hematological disorders, and coagulopathy.
