Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. acute, distal clavicle fractures (type II) determined according to the classification described by Neer et al(26); 2. no more than 14 days of trauma; 3. no history of distal clavicle fractures or other shoulder trauma; 4. no previous surgery on the shoulder; and 5. signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. other types (NeerI and NeerIII) of distal clavicle fractures and 2. no signed informed consent.
