Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Tumor length was =60mm, and endoscopy before surgery revealed that lymphadenectasis or distal lymphatic metastasis could be excluded; the patients had no history of thoracic surgery on the affected side, had no pre-surgical adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and have esophagectomy and lymph node dissection during surgery. Surgical operations of the two groups were all performed by the same team of surgeons.
