38 Years to 96 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Admission for first-ever acute ischemic stroke within 3 days of symptom onset; 2. Evidence of a single acute hemispheric lesion consistent with clinical manifestations.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cardiac (include acute myocardial infarction, a history of tachyarrhythmia/bradyarrhythmia or atrial fibrillation) or pulmonary disease were excluded; 2. Any pharmacological treatment, including ß-blockers, possibly affecting the autonomic function were excluded; 3. Cerebral hemorrhage, fever, hypoxia also were excluded. No patient received operation and thrombolytic therapy
