Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children patients (aged 3 months - 6 year-old, BMI 18-29.5 and ASA I-III) undergoing elective thoracic, orthopedic or abdominal surgery under general anesthesia were screened in the studies.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded if they met any of the following criteria: preoperative history of schizophrenia, epilepsy, minimal brain dysfunction or autism; taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors within 2 weeks before the surgery; brain injury or neurosurgery; esophageal reflux disease; the history of alcohol or analgesia drug abuse; severe hypertension (systolic blood pressure >= 180mmHg, diastolic blood pressure >= 110mmHg); severe hepatic, renal, pulmonary dysfunction; developmental delay; premature birth.
