42 Years to 72 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged at least 18 years old; 2. could read and write; 3. were willing to participate in the study; 4. were diagnosed with rectal cancer; 5. underwent anterior resection; 6. underwent temporary stomas (g)were expected to survive for more than one year, and 7. can be contacted by telephone after discharged.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. underwent other critical diseases; 2. unable to take care of themselves, or 3. underwent alcohol or drug abuse, or 4. suffered from psychiatric disease, or 5. lived in a nursing home, or 6. died.
