Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: maternal serum samples were collected at 8 weeks of gestation , aspirated fetal tissues were collected from MFPR, and fetal tissues of singleton pregnancies were collected from elective terminations of unintended normal pregnancies, as a control group. Surgeries were performed at 8 weeks gestation, Umbilical cord blood (UCB) and placenta tissues from twins were collected.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The patients with obstetric complications, such as gestational diabetes mellitus, hypertension in pregnancy, and intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, were excluded from this study. The parents with alcohol consumption in pregnancy and smoking were also excluded.
