Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing primary unilateral total hip arthroplasty for OA, ONFH or RA will be considered appropriate for the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: diabetes, esophageal reflux, cirrhosis, ischemic heart disease, body mass index >35 or <20, aged younger than 18 or older than 80 years, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) class 4 or 5, preoperative hemoglobin (Hb) <120 g/L, preoperative ALB <35 g/L, preoperative sodium <135 mmol/L, preoperative potassium <3.5 mmol/L, preoperative calcium <2.10 mmol/L and on the presence of current infection.
