18 Years to 75 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) male of female patients aged 18~65 years old; (2) no systemic diseases; (3) no history of periodontal therapy; (4) no use of systermic or local antimicrobials and/or anti-inflammatory medication of steroids in the previous 6 months. Health Group(H Group): (1) no periodontal pocket and attachment loss; (2) no alveolar bone resorption by X-ray examination; (3) bleeding on probing less than 15%. Chronic Periodontitis Group(CP Group): (1) inflammation and probe bleeding on the gums; (2) probing depth less than 6mm and clinical attachment loss less than 4mm; (3) alveolar bone resorption over 1/3 to 1/2 length of root; (4) without systemic diseases. Type 2 diabetes Group(T2D Group): Subjects with type 2 diabetes had been diagnosed with HbA1c =7.0%, fasting plasma glucose test =7.0 mmol/L, or OGTT 2 hour glucose test =11.1 mmol/L.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. being pregnant or lactating; 2. have serious systemic diseases and mental illness; 3. drug allergy.
