Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Insomnia patients Inclusion criteria: 1. Primary insomnia by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition ((DSM-V)) criteria; 2. Over 20 and under 60 years old; 3. Score above 8 on the PSQI; 4. Score below 7 on the HAMD; 5. Score below 14 on the HAMA; 6. Score above 32 on the HAS; 7. Signed the written informed consent form for the trial; 8. Not being treated with medications for anxiety,depression or insomnia within 1month. Healthy control inclusion criteria: 1. Over 20 and under 60 years old; 2. No complaints of the sleep quality and quantity; 3. Score below 8 on the PSQI; 4. Score below 7 on the HAMD; 5. Score below 14 on the HAMA; 6. Score below 32 on the HAS; 7. No serious organic or functional disease , and no mental disorders history of heredity; 8. No contraindication of MRI; 9. Voluntary participation in the trial and written informed consent form for the trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Insomnia patients exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnoses of depression, anxiety, schizophrenia or other severe mental disorders; 2. Diagnoses of severe cardiac, cerebral, renal or hepatic disease; 3. Difficult to complete the inspection and treatment; 4. Diagnoses of sleep apnea; 5. Pregnancy, breastfeeding woman; 6. Claustrophobia or other contraindication of MRI; 7. Abnormal signal or obvious asymmetrical head structure by MRI.
