Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: participants scheduled for elective surgery, 18–70 years of age, and a BMI >30 kg/m2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with severe cardiac pulmonary disease, a history of facial abnormality, previous oral-pharyngeal cancer or reconstructive surgery, patients who required an awake fiberoptic intubation, emergency operations, pregnant patients, and those with a history of difficult intubation.
