Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Each patient should be diagnosed as schizophrenia according to the DSM-IV criteria; 2. Aged 16 to 45 years old at onset of the disease; 3. Both the patients and their parents are Chinese Han descents; 4. The patients with schizophrenia at first-onset or the chronic patients with acute and severe symptoms; 5. The total scores of the PANSS are more than 60(each item is scored from 1 to 7), more than 3 items of 7 items for positive symptoms should be scored =4; 6. All of the patients or their guardians should give the written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with pregnancy or breast-feeding; 2. Patients with the contraindications of the recommended drugs; 3. Patients with severe or unstable physical diseases; 4. Patients with following heart diseases: QTc>450 ms in male, or QTc>470ms in female; Decompensated and congestive heart failure; Complete left bundle branch block delay.
