Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-III; 2. Aged >40 years old; 3. Suffering from Carotid stenosis and will be given an elective surgery; 4. Patients join in the research for voluntary.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe hypertension (180/110mmhg), severe valvular disease and severe arrhythmia, new cerebral infarction (<4 weeks ),Myocardial infarction occurred within three months; 2. Patients with severe COPD and asthma, pulmonary blisters, spontaneous pneumothorax, and the history of lobectomy; 3. Patients with severe heart and lung disease cannot tolerate this operation; 4. Patients refused or quitted the research.
