Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Acute ischaemic stroke patients who receive intravenous thrombolysis; 2. Informed patient consent or personal consultee declaration form; 3. Male or female, aged 18 years or above; 4. Able (in the Investigator's opinion) and willing to comply with all study requirements; 5. Willing to allow his or her General Practitioner (GP) to be notified of participation in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Unable (in the Investigator's opinion) or unwilling to comply with any study requirements; 2. Significant pre-stroke dependency (premorbid Modified Rankin Score >3); 3. Co-morbidity with anticipated life expectancy less than 3 months; 4. Current participation in another investigational drug trial.
