Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. 40,000 students from 47 primary school in Xuhui District, Shanghai, who participate in annual physical examination every year; 2. Children's parents give informed consent; 3. Children's parents able to answer the questionnaires.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. For epidemiological study: no exclusion criteria; 2. For control study: (1) Severe systemic diseases (e.g., cardiac, hepatic, and renal failure) (2) Sleep disorders other than OSA (narcolepsy, insomnia, chronic sleep deprivation, rapid eye movement [REM] behavior disorder and restless legs syndrome, central sleep apnea or obesity hypoventilation syndrome)Severe systemic diseases (e.g., cardiac, hepatic, and renal failure); (3) Infectious, tumor or trauma history; (4) Prior therapy for OSA (i.e., CPAP, upper airway surgery, oral appliance).
