Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meet diagnostic criteria for depression; 2. 18-50 year-old patient with first-episode depression without any drugs; 3. 18-50 year-old depression patients with wash-out period (10-14 days); 4. Willing to sign informed consent and be able to comply with the research plan; 5. Without obvious intelligent disorder and could understand the follow-up questionnaire survey.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals meet or met the following conditions of the DSM-V standard: schizophrenia, schizoid personality disorder, schizotype affective disorder, delusional disorder, bipolar affective disorder, alienation, dementia, amnesiac, or other serious cognitive impairments, impaired mental developments, mental disorders caused by physical illness or substance abuse; 2. With the history of brain trauma or other known pathological changes of the central nervous system; 3. Have received the systematic treatment with electro-shock or rTMS.
