Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Maternal maximum systolic blood pressure 160 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure 110 mmHg on admission was defined as severe preeclampsia. Twenty women with severe PE at 25-32 weeks of gestation and twenty women with uncomplicated pregnancies at the same period were enrolled in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: None of the patients had a medical history of liver or kidney disease, diabetes, primary hypertension, or other cardiovascular diseases.
