Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The study includes patients in the Department of Respiratory Medicine of West China hospital who have received fiberbronchoscopy examination due to pulmonary nodules and reserved alveolar lavage fluid, lesions and non-lesion parts of the bronchial mucosa specimens, in which lung cancer, tuberculosis and other granulomatous diseases are excluded combined with pathological results, chest CT, clinical manifestations and other ancillary findings. Then, we enroll the patients who follow the criteria below: 1. Asthma group: newly diagnosed asthma patients following GINA2017 asthma diagnostic criteria; 2. COPD group: patients in stable moderate to severe COPD who meet GOLD2017 COPD diagnostic criteria; 3. asthma–COPD overlap (ACO) group: patients following GesEPOC2017 ACO diagnostic criteria; 4. Bronchiectasis group: patients in accordance with the 2010 British Thoracic Society non-cystic fibrosis bronchodilator diagnostic criteria.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) People who fail to complete auxiliary examinations related to diagnosis or arent enrolled in the study for other reasons; (2) People suffering from severe heart, liver or kidney dysfunction or combined with other serious systemic diseases such as the metabolic, immune, neurological or hematologic diseases and so on; (3) People with other acute and chronic respiratory diseases, including but not limited to pneumonia, tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, allergic pneumonia or interstitial lung disease; (4) People who are taking immunoregulatory drugs; (5) Pregnant and lactating women; (6) People who have taken antibiotics in the past 4 weeks; (7) People suffering from malignant tumors; (8) People suffering from cystic fibrosis; (9) People suffering from tractional bronchiectasis; (10) People suffering from intestinal diseases (except for inflammatory bowel diseases which can cause bronchiectasis).
