Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria were as follows: the children aged 4 to 12 years, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) I or II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were as follows: recent symptoms of inflammation in upper respiratory tract, obvious cardio-pulmonary function abnormalities, history of psychiatric diseases, severe development disorders or abnormal airways, other neurological impairments such as paralysis or demyelinating diseases, children with sensitive skin, children who were allergic to propofol or opioids, or children with abnormal hepatic or renal functions.
