Eligibility

Age
30 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) symptoms of diabetes and blood glucose more than 11.1mmol/L at any time, or fasting blood glucose (FBG) more than 7.0 mmol/L, or 2 hours blood glucose more than 11.1mmol/L during OGTT; (2) age between 30-70, fasting plasma glucose (FPG) more than 8.0mmol/L, glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C) more than 8.0%; (3) all patients never be treated with hypoglycemic drugs such as metformin, sulfonylureas, glinides, alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, DPP-4 inhibitors thiazolidinedione and insulin.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) severe vital organ dysfunction such as heart (coronary heart disease and other vascular disease), liver, lung, kidney; (2) suffering from any severe diabetes complication, either acute or chronic; (3) has history of gastrectomy or severe gastrointestinal disease, such as peptic ulcer, chronic diarrhea; (4) poor patient compliance caused by physical, psychological, cognitive defect; (5) other diseases which may affect glucose metabolism, such as a variety of acute and chronic infections, stress, cancer, drug, connective tissue disease.
