Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients were diagnosed as PTC by fine needle aspiration biopsy before surgery; 2. The indications for bilateral central lymph node dissection were as follows: (1) PTC longer than 1cm; (2) tumor invading the surrounding tissue; (3) lateral neck metastasis; (4) bilateral PTC; (5) PTC with stage T3 and T4; (6) prelaryngeal and pretracheal lymph node metastases; (7) opposite side of CLN metastases; (8) BRAF-positive mutation and (9) tomor locating in isthmus; 3. The indications for lateral cervical lymph node dissection were as follows: (1) stage cNl; (2) PTC with stage T3 and T4, positive of central lymph node more than 2 and BRAF/VEGF-C-positive mutation for stage cN0; (3) the indications for level V lymph node dissection were positive of level V lymph node, PTC with stage T3 and T4, postive of level II, III and IV lymph node, distant metastasis, high aggressive subgroups and requirment of patients; 4. no operative taboo; 5. agreement with the follow-up; 6. voluntary participation and informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy for the drug used in the trial; 2. can not tolerate operation; 3. To be considered unsuitable for inclusion; 4. poor compliance and unwilling.
